(More customer reviews)I purchased the Veho MUVI Micro Video Recorder a month ago in preparation for a documentary I was shooting for a regional airshow.The idea was to attach the camera to several performers and capture first person POV video of their acts for use in the documentary.I first attached the camera to the helmet of a wing-walking stunt man.As you can imagine once the plane took off the wind easily overpowered the built-in mic, but beyond a few minor effects the shutter speed caused I was impressed with the overall contrast in the video and in particular the color saturation.It was a clear sunny day and the camera did a great job with the colors.The second application for this camera was to mount it on the suit of a sky diver and capture the jump and descent.Again, beautiful colors and nice contrast.I was a little dissappointed with contrast and colors when I tested the camera indoors- pretty washed out- so keep that in mind when deciding whether to buy this camera.Also, while it might seem obvious I do want to mention that the CMOS chip doesn't do well when pointing directly at bright lights.The video records full screen to a 640x480 .avi file and I had no problems inporting the video clip into my Avid Xpress Pro professional editing system.

I also have to mention that I liked how this camera seems to be built to withstand a lot of harsh use.It's made of an metal alloy body and feels substantial in your hand- not cheap feeling at all.The controls are minimal so my advice is to spend a few minutes practicing how to start and stop recording since it's basically one button and an LED that you use for several functions of the camera.The 60 degree field of view is not quite "wide angle" but it was wider than I expected.

Overall I recommend this camera to anybody who wants a solid camera that captures good video in hard to reach places.

(More customer reviews)I bought this camcorder mainly because it was the lowest-priced 1080p (full HD) camcorder I had seen.I have a point-and-shoot digital camera with standard-definition video.I also have a DSLR which does not have video, but I don't want to fork out the big bucks for one of the DSLRs with full HD 1080p video.As long as you do not expect really high quality from this camcorder, you will probably be more or less satisfied with the results.Video recording modes include 1080p (30 fps), 720p (30 fps), WVGA (60 fps), VGA (30 fps), and QVGA (30 fps).This camcorder performs well outdoors where the video is clear and sharp.For indoor video recordings, performance starts to drop off noticeably without the window coverings wide open.If you don't have adequate sunlight from outside, even with all the lights turned on, the images begin to get grainy, even if you use the built-in light source which is not very powerful.One nice feature is the 60 fps option at WVGA resolution.The main disadvantage in my opinion is that the image stabilization works at all resolutions except for 1080p and WVGA.I took a few still photos and found the quality to be mediocre, even with adequate lighting, but I am accustomed to the image quality from my DSLR.The menu controls are not intuitive, but I got used to them pretty quickly.All in all, if you're on a budget but would like 1080p video, this would be a nice entry-level option.Do not buy this camcorder if you demand high quality in your video recordings, especially indoors.

Finally, I wanted to comment that I am a Mac user.I have both a 1GHz G4 Power PC iMac running Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) as well as a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac running Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).I was initially unable to play the videos via QuickTime on my Power PC iMac, as it said I was missing the video codecs.So I installed a freeware plugin called Perian (w w w dot perian dot org), and it now plays the video although it is choppy because the processor is not fast enough to display the video at that resolution.On my Intel-based iMac, videos at all resolutions play smoothly with QuickTime and Perian.

I went to the manufacturers website and contacted tech support. They did send me two batteries. One will not charge at all and the one that did charge did not hold t more than a few minutes. I can not find these batteries in any local store or battery stores online. SO I have a dead camera.

the soft tissue release the tiny hair and adds up dirt onto the sensor.
not re-usable.. overpriced for its quality..i'd rather use the Wooden Cotton Swabs.
I have 3 Nikon D3s and need to clean the sensors quite often.
...This is not a solution...very desertification...i bought 2 packs and Adorama refused to take them back...
i am loosing $20, Adorama lost $2,200. I just bought another 24-70 Nikkor and SB-900 from B&H.

The camera operation is really easy. The menu layout is simple and navigated with a 4 direction joystick. The graphics and icons are well designed.

The quality is decent and while walking and recoding the video came out pretty good. The 4x zoom works but it zoom in very far or zoom out very far and it's hard to master going slowly. I had difficulty taking still shots too, mastering holding the camcorder still enough.

For what I want to use the camera for; is taking hiking videos, and/or uploading to YouTube or Facebook and for that I think it will work fine!

(More customer reviews)My parents bought this camera for my six-year old niece, who is autistic and loves to take pictures and videos of herself playing (or have a family member do it) and watch them on the computer.This digital camera is ruggedly built and is ideal for little ones as it can be dropped many times and will still function.There is an attachedwrist strap to minimize the likelihood of such accidents. There is a fold-out view screen that shows exactly what is being filmed which is great for kids or anyone else who hates to use the traditional monocular scope.I would definitely buy rechargeable batteries simply because it will be cheaper in the long run (get a battery charger, if you don't have one).The cover for the batteries is attached using screws, so it stays on during any unforeseen drop.

Alas, there is one big detractor.The camera has a slot that accommodates one SD card.This is a great feature as it expands greatly the amount of films that can be recorded and stored on the camera.The problem is that this slot is on the bottom of the camera and the cards can and do readily slip out and get lost.I am ordering the second SD card since this camera was purchased two weeks ago.To me, this seems to be an odd engineering/structural flaw.They design a digital camcorder for kids that can readily handle the abuse children can dish out on something like this, yet they provide a memory card slot that is in the most vulnerable place imaginable.Considering the price and the structrual integrity of the camera this seems to be a gross oversight.

My advice is to buy it for that young photographer/cinematographer in your life, but if you get an SD card for it, put some duct tape or other adhesive over the card slot and spare yourself the grief of looking for a lost SD card and/or the expense of buying new ones.

(More customer reviews)This is a really nice little touch player with only a couple of issues.I like it because it does practically everything I need it to do.It has a camera and video camera (granted these are low quality, but still nice if you want to take a picture of something and don't have a good camera on you).It also includes a webcam (haven't figured this out yet), and an FM radio and a couple of flash games (haven't tried these out yet).It also features a voice recorder.The battery lasts about 3 hours on a full charge when you play mainly music.I don't know how long the battery lasts if you play mainly videos because I haven't tried that out yet either.When you get the player, it seems really cheap and light, and is pretty much made of plastic, so I'd recommend taking good care of it. It includes headphones, which have worked great for me, and the external speaker when you don't have headphones plugged in is pretty decent.The player features a drag and drop system.The menu is nice, you can either have a menu you scroll through horizontally, or change it in the settings so that the entire menu comes up on the screen at the same time.There's a bit of a learning curve to using this, it took me quite some time to figure it out.I've never had an ipod, so playlists aren't really something I'm used to, but if those are important to you, you can kind of fake it by creating folders and call it whatever you want the playlist to be called, and dragging and dropping the music files you want into that list.Then, to access it, use the "dir list" under the music menu to find the playlist folders you've created.Also, if you want your music shuffled, when a song is playing, you tap an icon in the top left of the screen and a menu will come up that allows you to select sequence, random, intro, etc.If you click random, you can shuffle your music.You can also play music by artist, songs, genre, and album.Also, this player does not include a wall charger, I had to purchase one separately from the Walmart website.It does include the usb cable so that you can charge it on a computer.I figured out most of this stuff by playing around with the player as the little handbook that comes with it is not a lot of help.Also, no case is included, so if you want something to keep it safe in, you need to purchase that on your own.

It did freeze on me once I just push the reset button down and haven't had problems since.It is a lot darker in color than shown on this page.It plays really good and the touch screen is really responsive.

(More customer reviews)The good, the pen looks nice, thus one star. Now the bad. Pen comes with horrible instructions written by someone who has no clue of the English language. Even after following instructions (as best as you can) camera only works when it wants. Have tried everything. Just a horrible buy. Also purchased the remote key fob camera (only 4GB) which is an excellent buy, worked right out of the box without an issue. Until the seller figures how to properly translate the instructions for this pen I would not buy this item. You will find yourself looking to return this item like myself after numerous hours of frustration.
