(More customer reviews)I purchased the Veho MUVI Micro Video Recorder a month ago in preparation for a documentary I was shooting for a regional airshow.The idea was to attach the camera to several performers and capture first person POV video of their acts for use in the documentary.I first attached the camera to the helmet of a wing-walking stunt man.As you can imagine once the plane took off the wind easily overpowered the built-in mic, but beyond a few minor effects the shutter speed caused I was impressed with the overall contrast in the video and in particular the color saturation.It was a clear sunny day and the camera did a great job with the colors.The second application for this camera was to mount it on the suit of a sky diver and capture the jump and descent.Again, beautiful colors and nice contrast.I was a little dissappointed with contrast and colors when I tested the camera indoors- pretty washed out- so keep that in mind when deciding whether to buy this camera.Also, while it might seem obvious I do want to mention that the CMOS chip doesn't do well when pointing directly at bright lights.The video records full screen to a 640x480 .avi file and I had no problems inporting the video clip into my Avid Xpress Pro professional editing system.

I also have to mention that I liked how this camera seems to be built to withstand a lot of harsh use.It's made of an metal alloy body and feels substantial in your hand- not cheap feeling at all.The controls are minimal so my advice is to spend a few minutes practicing how to start and stop recording since it's basically one button and an LED that you use for several functions of the camera.The 60 degree field of view is not quite "wide angle" but it was wider than I expected.

Overall I recommend this camera to anybody who wants a solid camera that captures good video in hard to reach places.

The item broke when I got it.It would not charge properly and ultimately did not charge at all.The instuctions were a nightmare.They were translated to "Engrish" on pages that were equivalent to the size of a postage stamp.The words, hard to decipher doesn't begin to cover it.The cd that accompanied it--pure Japanese. If you can't read Japanese, well you're outta luck.

The positive note(!: When it was functioning, the video was pretty clear.

That and I got a refund.

I ordered another one,thinking that maybe the first was a fluke. The second one doesn't hold a charge either. I couldn't even get it to record once. At least the first one, I was able to use once. 5 Megapixel Pocket Size Mini Digital Video Recorder Review

(More customer reviews)This is a very poor quality product. The camera does not even appear to be 5MP to me.
Starting with the badly translated manual (a folded piece of paper) to the missing CD rom (which is repeatedly mentioned in the manual) this was a disappointing purchase all around.

The box mentions that there is a 2GB card provided;there is none.
The box also mentions that there is a 1GB card provided (yes.... that's right... on one side it says 2GB on another 1 GB); there is no card whatsoever in the box.

The box also mentioned the camera will take up to 16GB card; it does not and if you try anything larger than 8GB be aware that it may burn.It burned my 16GB Sandisk card.

There is conflicting information in the manual about the size of the card it would take (4gb in one paragraph and 8gb in another) which is different still from what is written on the outside of the box.

There are no drivers with the camera.

There is no way to configure the resolution of the pictures (since there is no CD with any drivers or software whatsoever).

There is no way to program the date and time, which (whether you want it or not) appear on every picture you take.

I wish I had something positive to say ... but I would be lying.

Oh ... I got it.... It's very small ... about the size of a stick of gum.That's good.
But unless you want to chew on it .... it's pretty much useless for anything else.

I realize it's only $30.00, but you are better off putting that $30 towards the purchase of a better product, which you can actually use.

The driver is in an oriental language with no translation at all, so it was impossible to get it to work. I sent it right back.
