(More customer reviews)I picked this up at a local store.I give it 1 star because so far, it plays DVDs.However, the remote that comes with it has issues: it uses a CR2025 coin battery; the remote is very small; has a non-standard button layout; tiny lettering on the surface; and it is useless in dim lighting (non-illuminated).The worst part about it is that Memorex does not support the universal remote code protocol, so you can't put this DVD player on your all-in-one remote. (I contacted their customer support via email to confirm this fact).

So, if you don't care about the remote issues, this unit is cheap, does HDMI pretty well, and plays DVDs, at least for now.
