Yeah, it would be a pain to remove all the time, but I don't see any reason to ever remove it, unless you got your H2 wet or something, maybe?
The SD door is not blocked at all. The battery door is slightly harder to remove, but not really an issue. It's good, because you won't lose the door and batteries if you drop the H2 on the floor.
The button membrane is covered, but to me this is a good thing. Like the other reviewer said, if you didn't like the extra protection, you could always cut it out with a razor.
In addition to the great protection, the silicone jacket also keeps the H2 from sliding around. I can put it on a church lectern during a wedding and feel confident it won't get knocked off. This in itself is a great reason to buy one!
Last night I bought a 2nd H2 recorder, and the first thing I did was order another silicone jacket from Unique Squared! They offer a great price and super fast shipping!
TIP: With the silicone jacket installed, the H2 fits perfectly into a Case Logic PMM-2 Compact Camera Case, which are like eight bucks at the chain drug store down the street. :)
