(More customer reviews)My experience with Coby was a very big disappointment.We purchased the Coby DVD - 719 Ultra on April 13th, 2008 and by May 16th, 2008 it was broken.The DVD player would power up but would not read the disk.It took four tries to contact customer service because I was disconnected for the first three tries.The first rep I spoke with was convinced that the DVD player was not working because it was dirty and that I needed to use a DVD cleaner to fix the issue, so I bought a DVD cleaner.This of course did not fix the problem.The next day I called customer service back (this time it took only three tries) and explained the problem again and that I performed the recommended cleaning and that it did nothing to fix the issue.The new rep informed me that I could send the DVD player back at my expense with a $12.00 money order for shipping and processing and in four(4) to six(6) weeks they would send me the repaired device or a replacement.In my opinion why should I have to pay what would add up to approximately half the original price for them to correct their mistake?My recommendation is to avoid Coby and go with a different manufacturer, unless your expectations for DVD player include frustration and disappointment.
